In the 21st century, health has become one of the most important keywords in people's lives. Health is taken into account when we eat, choose a job, and do sports for the sake of health. Yet there is one place where we often overlook health aspects – namely our home, and more specifically, how and with what materials it is built.
A house with Massiv-Holz-Mauer (MHM) cross-laminated solid wood walls is the best choice, because it is a naturally durable and sustainable building material.
WHAT IS MHM MASSIVE WOOD?
The foundation of our homes is cross-laminated solid wood – MHM construction. Massiv-Holz-Mauer is a solid wood wall that does not contain film, glue or chemical substances. It allows natural heat regulation and moisture transport, which ensures a self-regulating indoor climate. With a simple but ingenious solution, the construction is made very strong and durable.
Cross-laminated solid wood is produced with CNC machines, where the precision is accurate down to the millimeter. MHM – Massiv-Holz-Mauer offers far more architectural possibilities than, for example, log houses, but has a similar indoor climate.
MHM wall elements are manufactured from high-quality softwood planks. The profiled planks are assembled and connected in layers to form semi-finished wall elements using aluminum pins. The necessary door and window openings are made for each element in a CNC machining center. All cut-outs, grooves and holes for heating, sanitary facilities, electrical connections, and other equipment are made with high precision using computer-controlled processes.
Of course, it's also easy to make additional adjustments later. And as a bonus, you can hang heavy objects on the wall at any time - you don't have to worry about your TV falling down, for example.
A complete solution for your healthy home
Your home should function in the background without you noticing it – while also providing you with increased value.
To ensure a comfortable home, we recommend that customers use wood fiber insulation and high-tech textiles, as these help regulate the indoor climate. They can also improve the building's moisture-technical properties and increase energy efficiency.
Fermacell gypsum fiber boards are recommended for the interior cladding of MHM solid wood walls. Together with clay and lime products, this provides an even better and healthier indoor climate.

The Solid Wood Wall® elements are produced in individual sizes according to the planning specifications.
The construction of the Massiv-Holz-Mauer® makes it possible to achieve air and wind tightness according to DIN 4108. For buildings that require higher air and wind tightness (passive houses and energy houses), suitable supporting measures are required.
Fire resistance rating from 20.5 cm F 90, documented in the classification report from MFPA Leipzig.
